The bar
Run by Jacqui and Neil, McGowan's is a family-run local on the Wild Atlantic Way. Tucked along the shores of Lough Foyle, it's the place to drop in for a well-poured pint, a quiet corner by the fire, or a bit of chat after a day exploring the Inishowen Peninsula.
We stick to what a good pub does best: great beer, sound people, live music on the weekends and the match on the telly. Both cash and card accepted.
The space
The indoor beer garden is our newly covered space under the rafters. Heavy timber barrels for tables, string lights overhead and big screens for match days. Warm and dry, whatever the Donegal weather is doing.
Out the back, the outdoor terrace is the spot for a quiet pint when the sun breaks over Lough Foyle. And inside, the front bar is cosy and traditional, centred around a nice local turf fire.
